In addition
to industrial partners, we have recognized the importance of partners
in four-year institutions around the state of Washington, namely:
Eastern Washington University, Central Washington University, Western
Washington University and the University of Puget Sound. Faculty
of these institutions are invited to interact with the M.Sc. program.
They are also asked to review laboratory modules and to contribute
to their creation. This will facilitate the transfer of information
that can be used to educate students at the four-year institutions.
The
combination of having industrial and four-year university programs
as partners of the M.S. in Optoelectronics provides the required
synergy. Industrial and National Laboratory partners are also invited
to present optoelectronic applications relevant to both government
and commercial markets. Concepts and demonstrations of these applications
will be incorporated in future laboratory modules.
